Directions

Milano Malpensa and Lugano (CH) are the closest airports to the town. There are also Milano Linate and Milano Bergamo (Orio al Serio).
The train station is Como San Giovanni or, if you are going to use the Ferrovie Nord Milano, Como Lago.
Don't forget: Como is a tiny city where you can walk everywhere. So, do not be afraid if you do not have a car. Well... Italian drivers are said to be crazy. Actually, it is not true... at least in Como, we think!

Shuttle Service All Nite Long

We are trying to organize a shuttle service from piazza Cavour to the 2Bed club in via Piadeni and back. The distance is about 2km. The cost will be around €5 a day per person. It's a service we want to offer in order not to have parking problems or walking on the "walk of death". The Shuttle service will be organized only if we get around 70 people signed up for this, in order to divide the total cost among everybody. If you are interested then you need to write us not later then May 29th.

Prices

The only expense you will have at the Como Swing Crash Festival is the three days Dance Seminar from June 20th untill June 22nd.
We give the chance to buy the 1 day package, but we invite everybody to attend the entire Camp. Teachers can work better with the same group for the full camp.
This festival was born to promote and popularize afro-american culture, especially Swing dance and music. All the concerts and parties are for free. This is one of the reason why the Como Swing Crash Festival is so unique.

HOW TO PAY:

BANK TRANSFER: all the informations you need are on the Registration Form 2008. It's important to write on the Payment "Swing Crash 08" and the names of the people you are paying for.
PAYPAL: You can even pay with Paypal now. Send your money at info@swingcrashfestival.com account and then send an email at our Registration Office (registrations@swingcrashfestival.com) to confirm the payment.
IMPORTANT: paying with Paypal you have to add the 3,4% on the total + €0,35 on every transfer. This money will go to Paypal.

Download the Registration Form 2008, save it on your desktop in pdf. Open the saved file, fill it and save it again on your desktop. Check your details are on the file and then send it, with a copy of the receipt for payment, at registrations@swingcrashfestival.com or via fax at +39 031 762976.It is very important that you specify Name, Date and the Reason for payment. The receipt for payment must be sent via email or via fax, as long as we can see the right date of the payment.

Important: We will open the registration for Swing Crash 2009 after this summer.

Levels

Beginners

A beginner dancer need to know a minimum of the Lindy Hop Basic steps: 8 count and 6 count.

Intermediate

An intermediate dancer need to be familiar with the Lindy Hop fundamentals and must have the capacity to lead and follow.

Advance

An advance dancer must be familiar with Lindy Hop and Charleston fundamentals. He/She must be able to lead/follow and must have a strong knowledge about musicality.
