The only expense you will have at the Como Swing Crash Festival is the 4 days Dance Seminar from June 24th until June 27th and the cover at the "All Nite Long".
We give the chance to buy the 1 day package, but we invite everybody to attend the entire Camp. Teachers can work better with the same group for the full camp.
This festival was born to promote and popularize afro-american culture, especially Swing dance and music. All the concerts and parties outdoor are for free. This is one of the reason why the Como Swing Crash Festival is so unique.

Levels

We can still register only Leaders or couples (few tickets left) for Advanced and Intermediate levels. Unfortunately, we have closed the registrations for Followers by themself. The Beginner/Intermediate level is much higher then in the past and we can still register few dancers.

In the 2010 edition, in order to attend the Advanced Level you must pass the Audition. We will register about 30 couples... and few extra followers!

The general level is much higher then in the past. The teachers will keep the standard of the class pretty high. There is an audition in order to be part of the Advanced level. For this specific reason we have asked the professors to teach similar programs in the Advanced and Intermediate classes.

Dance Camp levels:

Beginners

If you are a beginner dancer, you need to know the Lindy Hop Basic steps: 8 count and 6 count. It's a good thing if you know the Charleston basics as well.

Intermediate

You are an intermediate dancer if you are familiar with the Lindy Hop fundamentals and you perfectly know how to lead/follow. You need to know how to swing from the 8 counts to the 6 counts steps; you can do the Swing out/Lindy Turns and its variations (inside turn, outside turn, texas, circle, etc.) without any problem. You need to know the Charleston basics as well. You are able to use your body in order to lead or follow your partner. If you have been here in the past, the general level has grown a lot.

Advanced

An advance dancer must be familiar with Lindy Hop and Charleston fundamentals. You can lead or follow and you must have a strong knowledge about musicality. This year we allow in the Advanced level about 30 couples. There is an audition in order to be part of the Swing Crash higher level.
